 Litter

Our planet is affected by many things in many different ways. One of these things is Littering. To litter is to leave rubbish lying in an open or public place.

My first statement is that littering is very bad for the environment. Because it causes pollution. For example, if you throw rubbish on the ground the place would be dirty, filthy and smelly. Second of all this may lead to an unhealthy environment that could cause people to get sick and maybe die.

Secondly, I feel that  littering can kill living things, Because the animals will think it's food. For example if an animal sees rubbish they will go and pick out of it and start to eat it  then they will choke on the rubbish then die. The effect of this is that the animals can become extinct just from pollution.

Finally, environmental pollution can also spill over. If rubbish goes into the ocean and the animals can choke on it or get stuck and die. For example, there is a plastic bag in the ocean and turtles and other animal sea creatures approach it and think it’s food and choke on it and die.

In conclusion

Thank you for reading , don't litter , go home.

A balancing act

                                                   A balancing act

There was once a man named Paul he wanted to do a balancing act. Cs he wanted a challenge but he knew that it was risky. He prayed that he would not fall to death so he did it next to a cross he balanced and balanced and he was nearly near the end of it. But he took one stair down and was terrified but he never stopped walking but he looked up and just kept on walking forward. As he got closer he got more relieved that he was nearly there as it got darker it got harder to see where he was stepping but he was one step close and he was done he was surprised and he celebrated.

THE END

A Balancing Act

Honey, I shrunk the kids

                               Honey, I shrunk the kids

There was once a man who loved to do science and his name was Bob. He was 27 years old and he made a machine that makes people big and small. Then one day his kids walked into his lab wondering what the machine would do all three of them stranded in front of it not knowing that machine was already on.

They were wondering how they got so little but they took one look at that machine and notest it was already on. Then Bob rushed up the stairs seeing that the machine was on. Then he realized something was wrong. The kids were missing that is when he knew they were shrunk then Bob rushed down stairs and told the wife “Honey, I shrunk the kids”.

The wife went crazy knowing that machine was in danger. They were also wondering what they were doing up the stairs. As the kids were shrunk, they tried to get their dads attention but he could not hear them. They tried to go down stairs but the stairs were too big and they had to find a way to get out of the house.

When they made it out of the house they found a giant ant witch they ran away from cause it was a giant then when the the ant stopped they stopped and his in a block of lego but then they found out that the ant was nice so they ride him like a horse as they were on the horse (ant) they saw their dad was hanging off the hang wire with 5 different sized magnifying class’s and the wife was inside worried about the kids w’ll the husband was trying to look for the kids.

PERSUASIVE WRITING

TOPIC = Should we be allowed to eat Bubble Gum in School.

Introduction : In Schools Bubblegum is one of the most strict rules.

Schools say bubble gum is not good for children because they get distracted. But today I am going to convince you that it is good for you.

Statement 1: Bubble gum is very good for you because it can help relieve stress . Bubble gum can be very useful if you are in a big test. For example when you are in a big test it will relieve anxiety.

Bubble gum helps a lot.

Statement 2: Bubble gum gives you strong teeth. As Long as the gum is sugar free then you are algood. If you chew gum for 20 minutes after you eat it can protect your teeth by removing food debris and increasing your saliva flow. Your saliva strengthens your tooth enamel because it carries phosphate and calcium.

Statement 3: Chewing gum is actually a workout. Did you know that if you chew gum for an hour you can burn 11 calories. So if you're at school you can burn 66 calories in a day.

Statement 4: Slim your waistline

According to a study by the University of Liverpool, chewing gum can slightly curb your cravings, which may help you make better eating choices. On average, the gum chewers in the study ate 36 fewer calories than those who didn’t chew gum. That doesn’t sound all that impressive, but if you cut 36 calories out of your diet every day, it adds up.

In conclusion chewing gum should be allowed in school. Gum has lots of good benefits. Chewing gum relieves stress and makes your breath smell nice . It strengthens your teeth and it also helps you lose weight. The bubble gum is like 4 in 1 deal

Happy Hens Hints

  • Hens make great pets
  • Hens usually live for 10 to 15 years,so make sure your are commited to look after them before you get them. it should be well ventilated but also provide shade and shelter.
  • Hens sure each hen has its own nesting box for laying eggs. it should have straw or wood shaving in it.
  • Hens like to scratch for food. straw or woods shaving on the floor of the hen coop are good for this.
  • If its safe, hens like to run around the garden. if you do this,it is better to feed them in the coop in the evening that way other birds dont eat their food and its it easier to get the hens back into the coop because they will follow the food.
  • Hens need fresh water every day. the water supply needs to be raised above ground level so the the hen dont scrape dirt into it.

court punishes school bully

Unit 1 - Factual Recount
Court Punishes School Bully

A girl of 12 has won a court case against a school bully.
A 16-year-old female harasser was charged with common assault
yesterday, even though the girl had not laid a hand on her 12-year-old victim.
The once happy-go-lucky youngster was left upset and troubled
by the other girls harassment, threats and insults. The court case,
thought to be the first of its kind involving
a child, was started after her desperate mother asked police for advice.
The mother felt her daughters’ school had been ignoring the problem.
The girl had undergone a complete personality change because of
the older girls’ actions. Her self-confidence was shattered and she came to
believe the older girls’ insults that she was ‘goofy and ugly’.
The 16 year old was given a two-year supervision order at a youth court,
after admitting her behaviour.
The court heard that the assault was of an emotional and mental type, which changed t
he girl from a happy child into being unhappy, nervous and shy.
Afterwards, the 12-year-old’s solicitor said: ‘You can see a bruise or a black eye but you can’t see how
someone’s mind is being affected’.
The court heard how months of bullying had worn out the younger girl who was so afraid of being
attacked that she arranged for her mother to collect her from school.
On one occasion the older girl threatened the 12-year-old and asked if she liked hospital food.
The court chairman said to the older girl: ‘ You were older and bigger.
You cannot go through life pushing people about’.
Police praised the victim and her mother having the courage to go through with the case.
(Adapted from an article by andre Loudon, Daily Telegraph, London)

  2. he was effected, harassed and assaulted
  3. What did the solicitor mean by ‘You can see a bruise or a black eye but you

  4. can’t see how someone’s mind is being affected’? They mean that you can
  5. see some getting hurt physically but you
  6. cant see them getting mentally.
  7. Was the younger girl’s body hurt at anytime? - Explain why did you
choose to hurt that girl were you jealous

Application:
  1. What question would you ask the younger girl? How does it feel to be hurt

  2. What question would you ask the older girl? Why did you bully her

my sister because they yell at me  bad words.

Synthesis -

Evaluation -

Do you believe bullies are confident people? - Explain yes and no
